Ibotta’s mission is to make every purchase rewarding. We achieve this through the cash back rewards we provide our Savers everyday through brand and retailer partnerships. As inflation continues to rise and constrict spending budgets, there has never been a greater need to be good citizens and positively impact the communities where we live and work.

We’ve seen through the years that our Ibotta Savers often use their cash back rewards to support their communities. In fact, 20% of Savers who redeemed the Free Thanksgiving bundle donated the food to charities or friends and families in need. More than 60% of Ibotta Savers made a charitable contribution in the last year. As an organization, we want to amplify their generosity.  

We’re inspired that many of you have joined the fight to end hunger by supporting Feeding America®, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. That is why we decided to extend our Feeding America partnership throughout the year. 

According to the USDA, more than 38 million people, including 12 million children, in the United States are food insecure. In 2020, more than 60 million (1 in 5) people turned to local food banks for assistance. Nobody should have to wonder where their next meal is coming from. Feeding America leads the fight to end hunger by working in partnership with food banks and other organizations, which are in turn supported by businesses like ours.

Ibotta is currently partnering with Feeding America as part of our Big Game Bundle promotion. We will donate $1 to Feeding America (up to $50,000) for every Big Game free pizza offer redeemed by one of our current Savers or by someone they refer to Ibotta. $1 helps provide at least 10 meals, secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks. Ibotta Savers who refer a friend can also unlock 100% cash back rewards on a variety of other popular Big Game treats. It’s our way of saying thank you for helping us further extend our mission.

This will be the first of several initiatives we conduct this year with Feeding America. Our upcoming Earth Month campaign will help educate the public on how simple acts to help solve hunger also help the Earth, while raising funds to advance their work in areas like rescuing more food to help provide meals to families in need. I’m very proud of the work that we do here at Ibotta, especially opportunities like this to join together and make meaningful connections with our Savers and communities.
